Sublimation printing is specifically for printing on ceramic mugs, ceramic plates, tiles, T-shirts, hats, puzzles, polyester fabrics, and more.
Additionally, New World Design, Printing, and Advertising offers sublimation printing machines and all necessary consumables for sale.
All the above items for sublimation must be coated first. Therefore, New World first coats the plates, mugs, tiles, puzzles, etc., and then performs the printing using professional sublimation machines.
Heat Press Machines with European Certification
Heat press machines with European certification, with a maximum print size of 70*100 cm, are used for sublimation printing. The name “sublimation” comes from the process where materials are converted from a solid to a gas. The solid material, which is the ink on the paper, is heated to 180 degrees, turning into gas and transferring the print onto the object.
New World Design, Printing, and Advertising performs sublimation printing on plates, mugs, puzzles, plaques, ceramics, T-shirts, paper balloons, plastic containers, badges, and more using advanced equipment and exceptional quality.
Features of Sublimation Printing:
- High quality
- Ability to print on various products
- Low cost
- High durability
- Capability for single print runs
- Very low equipment cost
The quality of the sublimation paper greatly affects the print quality. High-quality papers can transfer over 90% of the ink to the object. Typically, transfer or sublimation papers are used, along with a special sublimation adhesive to stabilize the paper on the item during pressing, preventing it from shifting.
Sublimation Printing Methods
Sublimation printing can be done using two methods: roll and piece printing. It is suitable for light-colored polyester fabrics. Natural fiber fabrics like cotton, linen, and silk do not absorb the ink.
The fabric must withstand 200 degrees of heat. For roll-to-roll printing, plotters and calendar machines are used. Cut fabrics are printed using tabletop or industrial sublimation plotters and manual or calendar heat presses.
Initially, printing is done on special transparent paper, which then transfers the design onto the desired fabric through heat. In sublimation heat printing, the ink turns into gas due to heat and reverts to a solid state upon transferring to the fabric.
Sublimation or heat printing can be applied to surfaces like T-shirts, mugs, keychains, and more. The use of high-quality paper results in much better print quality in sublimation printing.
