Catalogs come in various types:
1) Catalogs without staples or adhesive, available in single-fold, 2-fold, 3-fold, and various sizes.
The paper or cardboard material ranges from 150gsm to 300gsm, and catalogs are produced using various printing techniques such as gloss, matte, UV, spot UV, foil stamping, silver stamping, and embossing for durability and aesthetics.
2) Booklet Catalogs
Booklet catalogs consist of a cover and inner pages. The cover is typically made of 250gsm or 300gsm glossy cardstock, and the inner pages range from 135gsm to 200gsm glossy paper.
Usually, the cover is laminated with matte or glossy lamination.
Depending on the number of inner pages, standard stapling, loop stapling, hot or cold glue, or sewing is used.
Booklet catalogs are available in A4, A5, B4, B5, and custom sizes.
Similar to brochures, booklet catalogs are used to introduce industrial or service units to consumers and are designed and printed in various sizes, such as A4, A5, 5.7″ x 10″, 10″ x 14″, and custom sizes.
Binding methods for booklet catalogs include hot glue, cold glue, wire binding, saddle stitching, and coil binding (simple stapling and loop stapling).
