In offset roll printing, paper is fed into the printer as a continuous roll. The printing is done using zinc plates.
- Offset roll printing is much faster than sheet-fed offset printing.
- Printing on both sides of the paper can be done simultaneously.
- Folding is done simultaneously with the printing process.
- The file sent to the printer is in “CMYK” format.
The colors are printed on an aluminum plate (zinc) and the zinc plates are then attached to the printer. The printing process then begins.Roll labels, magazines, high-volume books, newspapers, thermal rolls, and POS devices are typically printed using offset roll printers.Roll printing machines are divided into two categories:
- Newspaper roll printing machines:These machines print papers with a weight of 45 to 80 grams. They use cold ink that does not require a dryer. The printed paper is then immediately fed into a folder, which produces 32, 16, 8, 412, or even 64 and 96-page forms.
- Commercial roll machines:These machines are used for printing high-quality work. They have a drying system after printing.
The use of POS devices and receipts is very common today. This provides a suitable platform for back-roll advertising. Back-roll printing, unlike front-roll printing, does not fade. POS machine back rolls or store receipts can be printed using offset roll printing.POS machine roll printing and store receipt roll printing can be done from one color to four colors.POS machine thermal rolls and store receipt rolls are available in sizes of 52, 80, 110 meters, and custom sizes.
Heat Transfer Printing
In heat transfer printing, the desired design is first printed on special paper called transfer paper. The printed design is then transferred to the desired surface using a heat press machine.
